Construction of a new road and retaining wall, works include :
- Excavating the existing site then laying and compacting hardcore
- Casting footings for the retaining wall
- Installing precast retaining wall sections
- Shaping and backfilling retained ground
- Construction of the new road
Venturer was tasked with reconstructing the coping stones atop the building after they had debonded and started to move, causing a hazard to those below.
Each coping needed to be repositioned. So, all copings had to be removed, the existing mortar bed was cleaned off back to the brick face and then mechanical fixings applied to every stone.
Venturer are constructing a new temporary construction access road to Bristol Zoo in preparation for future works.
Prior to the construction works, tree protection is being installed in accordance with BS Tree Protection guidelines.
Venturer was contracted by Gloucester City Council to construct concrete bases in the footway to mount gate posts, this includes removing block paving, excavating around buried services using a Vac-Ex, casting a slab beneath the services, mounting post bases and reinstating the footway.
Expansion of the staff car park, works include :
- Removal of trees and vegetation
- Installation of bike shelters
- Excavation to new formation level
- Concrete and new kerbs
- Laying and compacting of type 3 & permeable bedding material
- Laying of block paving
Venturer were contracted to bring the drainage of the retail park to an adoptable standard by replacing lengths of 600mm diameter 4m deep storm drains.

Foundation works for installation of new walkway canopy. Cutting of existing tarmac using floor saw in preparation for excavation to form concrete bases.
Laying new kerbs throughout the Hospital site along with new tarmac & timber bollards.
Demolition of exiting wall and construction of a new double skin brick wall, running alongside Evesham Road from the newer section of wall by side gate approximately 50m. Works involve demolition of existing brick wall and existing foundations, preparing ground for new foundations and erection of new wall.
Remedial works, repairing numerous spots throughout Kingsway including replacing broken Kerbs and tactile paving, reinstating footways and crossings to repair areas of ponding and several other works to mend damaged or flawed areas.
Resurfacing of Footway
Foundation works for installation of new gantry crane in existing unit. Cutting of existing floor slab by diamond saw and removal in section to keep works dust free.
Widening of existing path to form disabled access, with construction of retaining wall with new fencing and lighting.
Resurfacing of existing car park and new fencing for child security.
Removal of existing dilapidated nursery. Construction of new patio area and refurbishment of existing patio area.
